BE NURU
Ok, so it’s a no brainer. Extreme poverty is a really big problem. It’s entirely too big for one person to handle, but that’s where you come in. You see, we sincerely believe that together, we can end extreme poverty in our lifetime. If each one of us contributes some of our time, skills, and resources, we can change the world. Whatever you do, tell us about it. We love videos, photos, written stories, and even original songs. Who knows? Maybe your story will be a featured on Facebook, Twitter, or on our blog page. When you, or someone you know is being Nuru, tell us about it.

NURU WEEK
In February 2012, a group of students in a small high school in West Virginia launched a week of events to raise funds and awareness for Nuru’s work. Students coordinated everything from a 5K race to a bucket walk and even organized an all school assembly. Through their efforts they were able to raise over $2500, and raise the profile of Nuru through TV and newspaper articles about their events. We were so impressed by what they put together, we decided to document it with the video above. And these students were so excited about what they were able to accomplish, that they put together a packet for any school, church group, or club who would want to create their own Nuru week. All you need is a handful of committed people, to take this idea to your community as well.
