Maize Harvest up 300%

The season harvest is in and Nuru can report figures up 300% from last year's maize crop. The impact of Nuru's agriculture training combined with loans of high quality seed and fertilizer are profound. Now instead of a yield of 3 bags of maize per acre farmers average 9 bags, with some farmers reporting yields of up to 15 bags per acre. Due to the success of this first harvest, area farmers not previously involved with Nuru have expressed a desire to participate in the project, and Nuru is seeking to expand their reach in the community.
